Self-image and tantric massage: reconciling with your body

We live in an age where images are everywhere.

The mirror, social networks, beauty standards, other people's opinions...

Little by little, our bodies are becoming objects to be controlled, adjusted and monitored.

And without realising it, many people distance themselves from their feelings in order to conform to an appearance.

But when the image takes over, the link with the interior is weakened.

We no longer feel. We analyse, we judge, we compare.

And this is often the beginning of invisible suffering.

Some people, convinced that they are “not beautiful enough” or “not desirable”, withdraw from intimacy.

Others, on the other hand, over-invest in their external image: surgery, excessive sport, constant make-up, etc.

But behind these sometimes extreme efforts, there is often a need for recognition, a wound of rejection, a feeling of never being “good enough”.

And yet, what the body is waiting for is not a facelift, but a gaze capable of loving it as it is.

A space where he can breathe, vibrate and feel again.

This is where tantric massage comes in.

Tantric massage: an inner mirror, a re-awakening of the self

In a safe, non-judgmental environment, with no expectation of performance, tantric massage invites you to come back to yourself.

To feel her skin, her warmth, her vibration...

Not to please, but to exist.

Session after session, it's not the body that changes.

It's the way we look at it.

The breath flows. Tension is released.

And an inner, almost forgotten form of beauty resurfaces.

It's not an imposed aesthetic.

It's a beauty experienced from the inside.

And it's often at this point that others also perceive something different.

When you feel like you're inhabiting your body, you reflect it in a different way.

The face lights up. The posture aligns.

And what we thought was deformed, inappropriate or undesirable... simply becomes human. Vibrant. Alive.

I remember...

She came to “reconcile her body with her heart”.

Years of hiding, avoiding mirrors, lowering her eyes when people looked at her.

She said she was “too fat”, “not harmonious”.

But what I saw was a body tired of constantly passing judgement.

In the first session, she started crying as soon as we touched her tummy.

«I can't stand my stomach», she whispered to me.

And then, little by little, in the silence of the massage, something opened up.

She felt tenderness. Not the kind you get from someone else.

The one that comes from you.

But she also recognised her feminine strength deep inside her.

To reject her womb was to cut yourself off from her essence.

A few sessions later, she arrived in a dress she hadn't dared wear for years.

She no longer came to “fix herself”. She came to find herself.

I also remember this man.

Very sporty, very controlled.

But beneath the surface, a deep-seated disenchantment.

He never felt “muscular enough”, never “virile enough”.

He was running away from himself in performance.

In tantric massage, he couldn't cheat.

He was touched, looked at, welcomed without any goal in sight.

And then it was a surprise. His body, taut as a bow for years, was able to relax.

He once said to me:

« I thought I had a problem with my image.

In fact, I had a problem with softness. »

And in this gentleness, he found new strength. The strength to stop abusing himself in order to exist.

What I learned along the way

I know, because I've been there too.

As a woman, your body image is constantly being put to the test.

Since adolescence, our bodies have been scrutinised, compared and exposed to a thousand contradictory injunctions.

And even after years of therapy, I can say that the self-criticism never completely disappears.

But I've learnt to recognise it, to look at it with a clear eye, and to stop letting it govern the way I feel.

I myself have explored other avenues:

I consulted makeover specialists, I've learned a lot from image consultants, and I've found invaluable tools for learning how to dress better and how to make the most of what I like about myself.

But these approaches, although useful, weren't going to get to the root of my malaise.

They embellish the surface, highlight self-perception, but do not transform the very essence of this malaise.

What helps me most are my incarnation experiences:

dance, massage, movement, direct experience.

When I massage, when I dance, there is a moment when I forget myself, when the gaze on me moves away.

And there I am. More grounded. Freer. Stronger.

It's often at times like this that people say to me:

«You exude strength, light and incredible femininity.»

And yet, inside, I sometimes feel very small.

But I choose to trust these spaces of exposure, because they reconnect me to my truth, far more than all the mirrors in the world.

So if you feel that you too need to go back to yourself, I invite you to discover the Toucher de Soie®.

Step by step, session by session, in a deeply respectful environment, this journey towards a rediscovered image begins from within.

And it's often there that true beauty is reborn.

«What we see is only the reflection of what we dare to feel».»
