Ethical Framework and Consent Charter

Preamble

Welcome to Toucher de Soie® (Silk Touch).

Every support offered is based on four fundamental principles: Respect, freedom, trust and consent.

This charter aims to set out the framework for sessions, so that everyone can make a free, informed, and fully voluntary choice.

Consent is not a document signed once and for all. It constitutes a living process, which can be confirmed, questioned, modified or withdrawn at any time.

1. Nature of support

The sessions offered by Toucher de Soie® (Silk Touch) are part of a commitment to well-being, personal development, exploration of the relationship with oneself, and improvement of relational quality.

They do not constitute a medical act, a paramedical act, psychotherapy, or a sexual service.

They do not in any way replace medical, psychological or psychiatric monitoring when it is necessary.

2. Consent

Consent forms the foundation of each session.

It must be:

  • Free ;
  • enlightened ;
  • specific ;
  • explain ;
  • revocable at any time.

Acceptance of a meeting never implies acceptance of all proposals that may be put forward during it.

Each stage of the support process is accompanied by appropriate information and can be freely accepted, refused or interrupted.

Silence, lack of reaction, or lack of opposition are never interpreted as consent.

3. Preliminary information

Before the session, a discussion period allows for the presentation of the coaching process and to answer any questions.

The person being accompanied is invited to report any useful information concerning their health, limitations, needs, or any circumstances likely to influence the course of the session.

4. Respecting Limits

Every person is free:

  • to ask questions ;
  • to request an adaptation of the session; ;
  • to ask for a break ;
  • to refuse a gesture or a proposal ;
  • to withdraw their consent ;
  • to end the session at any time.

No justification is required.

Withdrawal of consent is immediately respected.

5. Touch

The proposed touch is exclusively part of a well-being, support and personal development approach.

Depending on the nature of the chosen session, certain practices may involve contact with intimate areas of the body (specifically the breasts, genitals, or anal region).

Such a practice never happens automatically.

She is systematically subject to:

  • clear prior information ;
  • of specific, free and explicit consent; ;
  • of the possibility of being refused without consequence to the quality of the support offered.

Consent for the touching of intimate areas is distinct from consent given for the session as a whole.

Accepting a session never automatically constitutes consent for this type of touch.

This consent can be withdrawn at any time, before or during the session, without justification.

6. Nudity

Depending on the sessions, the person being accompanied may choose to keep all or part of their clothing.

Nudity is never imposed.

It constitutes neither an objective nor a condition of the support.

7. Health

The client agrees to inform the practitioner of any known medical contraindications, pregnancy, recent surgery, pain, treatment, or particular circumstances likely to affect the session.

The practitioner reserves the right to postpone or refuse a session when they deem that safety or competence conditions are not met.

8. Mutual respect

The practitioner works with respect for their professional ethics, the dignity of the person, and the stated framework.

Any request of a sexual nature, disrespectful behaviour, verbal or physical violence, or any attempt to pressure or transgress professional boundaries will result in the immediate termination of the session.

9. Confidentiality

Discussions taking place before, during, and after sessions are confidential, subject to legal obligations.

The information collected is used solely for the purposes of the support offered and its administrative management, in accordance with applicable personal data protection regulations.

10. The practitioner's commitments

I undertake to:

  • welcome each person with respect, without discrimination or judgement; ;
  • Clearly present the framework for the session before it begins. ;
  • respond transparently to all questions concerning the progress of the support; ;
  • Never consider silence as consent. ;
  • regularly check that consent remains present when the session requires it; ;
  • immediately comply with any request to stop, pause or adjust; ;
  • preserve the confidentiality of exchanges ;
  • to exercise within the limits of my professional capabilities.

11. Responsibility of the accompanied person

The accompanied person undertakes to:

  • communicate honestly any information useful for the smooth running of the session; ;
  • to express one's limits, discomforts, or any change in feeling; ;
  • Never feel obliged to accept an offer; ;
  • inform immediately if she wishes to modify or withdraw her consent.

Dialogue is an integral part of the support framework.

12. Acceptance of the framework

Booking an appointment implies that the person acknowledges having read and understood this ethical framework.

She acknowledges that she had the opportunity to ask any questions she deemed necessary before the meeting.

Signing the consent form only confirms that this framework has been read and understood. It never replaces the specific consent that may be requested during the session for certain practices.

Our commitment
